Gardening Tips

• Start seeds indoors for earlier planting outside this season. Fair’s stocks starting trays, soils, plant labels and more! 
• Overseed areas in your lawn that get damaged over the winter. Avoid using crabgrass preemergents in these areas unless it contains “Tupersan.” 
• Apply fresh mulch around trees and shrubs for weed control. Fair’s stocks Western Red Cedar, Cypress, Cocoa Bean mulch and more!
• Prune hedges and summer flowering shrubs. Check for damaged branches and remove broken ones. Fertilize spring bulbs when foliage appears.
